The Falkland Islands are one of the last untouched places in the world allowing you to experience being surrounded by thousands of penguins completely alone.  This guide was entirely written in the Falkland Islands and utilizes my first- hand experience of photographing the birds.  To completely immerse myself in the environment, I went on a one and a half month camping expedition to the Falklands pitching my tent alongside thousands of penguin burrows.  This guide will share with you what I learned after living with penguins twenty- four hours per day and seven days per week.

The Falkland Islands are located off the southernmost coast of South America above Antarctica.  This is one of the most remote countries in the world with the largest town, Stanley, boasting less than 3,000 people.  Even though the Falklands are one of the best places in the world to photograph wildlife only few ever make the trip.  The reason I wrote this guide is because I could not find any reliable information on even the simplest questions like what focal length is optimal?  I am writing this guide so no one else will be traveling blind before visiting the Falklands.
